Vice Chair Intro - Kotryna Vismante

Hi Delegates! My name is Kotryna and I’m excited to serve as your WHO Vice Chair for BMUN LXX! I’m a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and Philosophy, and this is my second year participating in BMUN. I’m originally Lithuanian but spent a long time living in the D.C. area and Kyiv, Ukraine. The exposure to different places, as well as lots of international friends, motivated me to join MUN back in high school, and I have grown so much because of it. Outside of BMUN, I spend most of my time at the gym, leading development at a campus consulting group, or pushing my 100-year old apartment’s kitchen to the brink of collapse while cooking. The topics of this committee have undoubtedly affected us all personally, but I am curious to see the diverse perspectives you will bring from research about them on an international and country-level scale. I hope you learn, build confidence, and make memories this weekend!

Personally, MUN has been one of those programs that pushed me to think beyond the horizon and dare to dream, and I hope this conference can provoke inspiration in you all to promote positive change and achieve your aspirations.  Now, I am a senior finishing up my last semester as a Statistics and Data Science double major, and I like to spend my time doing water sports at the Marina and also with the Christian community on campus. Upon graduation, I will be growing my domain as a data scientist and plan to apply my technical knowledge in the g...
