Head Chair Intro - Tanirika Singh
Hello Delegates!
My name is Tanirika Singh and I am very excited to be your head chair for the WHO this year at BMUN alongside an incredible dais! With future blog posts from our dais focusing more on the topics for the committee as well as general advice as we get closer to conference, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
Although born in New Delhi, I grew up locally here in the Bay Area and didn't need to travel far from home for college here at Cal where I'm currently a second year studying Molecular & Cellular Biology. Beyond BMUN, I'm involved in on-campus scientific research and help teach an undergraduate run course on public health. In my free time, I love going out on hikes and runs locally here in Berkeley, watching Formula 1 (if anyone else does please reach out to me, I only know 3 other people who do :') ), and feasting upon every pasta dish I can find within a 5 mile radius of me.
I can't wait to meet you all very soon! Having once been a delegate here at BMUN in this same committee and now head chairing, this conference is somewhat of a full-circle moment for me on a personal note. I genuinely look forward to hearing all of your ideas and hope to make this committee a memorable experience for you all! In the meantime, most definitely do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have. You can always email us at our committee email: whobmunlxx@bmun.org
Take Care,
Tanirika
